Located in Cummings.
This place is perfect for all seasons. My favorite is summer & fall there. Lots of space, plenty of trees & if you're lucky you're spot the huge tree log overlooking the Lake.
waterworks park
Located in Des Moines across from Gray's Lake. Waterworks is popular for Crabapple trees in early - mid May. This park has so much to offer. From the water fountain, the abundant of trees & the rustic bridge.
Walker johnson park
Located in Urbandale. This place is overlooked because its nestled behind the Urbandale Library. I love doing fall photos here because of how intimate it is & the trees are so colorful.
rose garden & art center
If you're looking for roses, rustic boulders & egg statues... This place is for you. The Rose Garden is hidden behind the Art Center. I love using both. The Art Center is perfect for a modern day building. It's all white which will make your outfits pop. The whole area has a lot to offer. The possibilities are endless!
greenwood park
Just down the hill from The Art Center & The Rose Farm. This place is full of trees, a pond, a wooden area & tall grass.
brenton Arboretum
Please make sure you're a member being taking photos here. This location is full of pine tress, willow trees & maple. There is a pond and hills upon hills. If you're photographing a family make sure to tell your clients about the cool nature scape. I love watching the kids light up and run towards the playground.
jester park
This park has so much to offer. You could spend all day there! From Elk, Bison to ponds - Lake. Check it out if you're in the area.

If you love a feel for old brick & an urban area. Check out Valley Junction! While you're there check out the atomic garage wall if you love retro! Don't forget to look for the gray brick wall.

If you love apple picking & pumpkin patches. You have to check out this place! I had so much fun exploring this orchard. It has a lot to offer!
clarke tower
If you love old brick towers you HAVE to go check out Clarke Tower in the Winterset City Park. It's the most beautiful during fall. While heading to the tower you might spot the brick bridge that is to die for.
downtown dsm
If you love an urban area with lots of hidden spots. Check out downtown Des Moines. Old brick, modern day bridges, Beautiful buildings such as The World Food Prize. If you love art don't forget to check out the Sculpture Park.
raccoon river park
If you want a "beach" look in Iowa. You have to check out Raccoon River. Play in the sand or explore the hidden paths on the trails. I use to visit this place all the time when I was single. It was my safe haven.
ledges state park
Are you looking for a breath taking cliff that over looks the water while watching the sunset. You have to check out Ledges! This place has everything from from bodies of water, tons of trees, hidden trails & super cool tall rocks.
springbrook park
This beautiful park is hidden in Guthrie Center. Fun fact my husband and I got married here. I love everything about this park. From the beautiful water to the rustic shelters. There is so much hiking trails to get lost in.
red rock
This place is on my bucket list this year! Take a trip and explore the beautiful rock rocky cliffs surrounded by water.
