A beautiful baby girl is born!

Taylin Marie Woolheater was born on September 12th, 2008 at 4:13pm at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. It was a rainy and gloomy day. My labor with Tay went so smooth and wonderfully. I was induced with her at 8:00 am that morning at 39 weeks pregnant. Before heading to the hospital I was dilated to a 4, 2 days prior to my induction so the doctor wanted to get the ball rolling. For those who don't know, I was 18 years old when I had Taylin. Fun fact: the doctor who delivered Taylin, also delivered my sister Alecia. Dr. Hancock said that if he delivered in the same family he would retire after that. It took him a few years but he did end up retiring. The day of my induction my mom and sister Alecia met up with Tay's dad Josh and I at the hospital and stayed in the room the whole time. It was really amazing getting to share that experience with them as well. My mom even got to cut the second part of the umbilical cord at the warmer station. Tay weighed 7 lbs 11 oz & 20 3/4 inches long. My labor was 8 hours and I think I pushed for 30 mins. It was all a blur. What I can remember is my doctor who was a complete nut case lol singing "don't stop until you get enough and push it push it real good" to lighten the mood. My mom said he was squirrelly back when he delivered Alecia as well lol. Needless to say I should have had a fun playlist going on during this delivery since he was such a jokester and probably would have enjoyed it just as much as me. Ya'll wouldn't believe it but my doctor even put his hand through my amniotic sac when he was showing us after Tay was born... Like wtf! I told you he was weird. It's a good thing he knows what he's doing when it comes to his job... lol! Funny story, after Taylin was born my mom & Josh went to the warmer station to admire her while the nurses did their thing and my sister stayed back with me as I was getting cleaned up. I remember asking my sister how much Tay weighed and she said "7, 11" me all drugged up, groggy and exhausted said "why are you talking about the convient store" lol! she says "no, your daughter weighs 7 lbs and 11 oz!" so now anytime I say her birth weigh I giggle :)
